2023 Cabinet Painting Trends
2023 has just begun, but we are already noticing a couple trends in cabinet painting in Spokane.
Although cabinet painting is still more popular, we are receiving more calls and requests for cabinet staining/refinishing. Customers are more strongly considering staining cabinets/doors than in years prior. Often when homeowners opt to stain, they are staining in a different color than the original color.
For cabinet painting, we are generally seeing less requests for white cabinets. Homeowners are opting for softer off-white shades, light griege colors and various grey colors- usually very light and neutral.
Lastly, we are noting that for white cabinets, there is a difference in the type of white that is selected. In previous years, we used a lot of the Sherwin-Williams Hi-Hide white, which is essentially the base white for the brand. It is more common now for homeowners to select a softer white color.
